We scan the market quickly and efficiently to offer the best possible solution in the shortest possible time. Here is an example from March 2023.

A hydropower plant suffered a transformer failure and contacted us on Monday 6 March. Our task was to find a replacement transformer.

BTB presented the first option the same day, and the following day we presented the option the customer ultimately chose. The replacement transformer is slightly larger in rating than originally requested: a cast resin transformer of 10 MVA with a ratio of 10500 ±2×2.5% / 6000 V, Yy0.

The transformer was unenclosed (IP00) and had to be transported across a rainy Europe to Scandinavia. Our logistics partner NTC Transport came through once again, and on Wednesday we were able to present a solution in which the transformer — 307 cm in total height — could be carried by covered truck all the way to the customer.

The transformer was loaded on Friday morning and reached the customer the following Monday. The customer handled hauling the transformer into place and connecting it themselves, and just a couple of days later the hydropower plant was producing electricity again.
