BTB Transformers has become part of the Auroora Group

In June this year, we celebrate 20 years since the majority shareholders Jim Stenman, Thomas Forsman and Kristian Östman, together with a few others, laid the foundation for the BTB we see today, a thriving company with 8 full-time employees and a turnover in 2024 of 21.6 million.

In March this year, the owners of BTB signed an agreement that now makes us a part of the electrification and automation segment of the Finnish Auroora Group.  With this transaction, Auroora took over 100% of BTB's shares, and Jim Stenman and Thomas Forsman became shareholders in Auroora via a reinvestment.

"We approached Auroora because we saw an excellent partner that shares our values and vision for the future. Together, we can meet the growing demand and develop innovative solutions for the electrification megatrend. We are excited about the future opportunities and collaboration," says Jim Stenman, CEO of BTB Transformers.

‘The world is electrifying at an accelerating pace, and Auroora is committed to ensuring that this transition continues smoothly and without disruption. BTB Transformers is a perfect fit to the strategy and structure of their Electrification and Automation segment. As a serial acquirer, Auroora generally operates its companies as independent entities. However, BTB Transformers  offerings integrates to Auroora in a way that naturally creates synergy benefits ”, says Harri Lamminen, Electrification and Automation segment export and Auroora’s board member.

With this change, Kristian Östman chose to step aside after long and faithful service in the company. BTB thanks Kristian for his effort and for the BTB he has been very much involved in building. We wish him all the best in the future. Otherwise, BTB's management team will remain in their current roles and become part of Aurora's leadership network. Other staff will continue to work within the company as part of Auroora, and BTB Transformers will retain both its name and Business ID.
